How to calculate your ascendant

An accurate ascendant needs your birth date, local birth time to the minute and birth city. The ascendant moves quickly through the day, so a time error can change the sign, chart ruler and houses.

If you do not know the exact time, select “I don't know the exact time”. We will show the base chart without inventing an ascendant or houses; this result is approximate until the birth time is confirmed.
